The hunt continues...

Good evening,  Sorry it's so very late... things are getting a little busy here right now.

  I was on my way to bed and decided, quite out of the blue, to pop my head around the door into my Room of Makings.  Just to check (not quite sure I know what I was checking for!).   Perhaps it's one of those comforting habits we pick up along the way, you know... like checking the doors are locked, the lights are out, the Room of Makings is still there!  Everything looked just as it should; not too messy, just enough to make it look loved and inviting! 

I turned to leave the room and something sparkly... no, more like shimmering caught my eye.  I took another look and came across another fairy (do they play with my crafting stash when I'm not there?).  It was Alana, she'd come to say good night in her own sweet way "Dream higher than the sky and deeper than the Ocean".  

  

Fairies care a great deal! It's no wonder I love them all! 

And on that note, both Alana and I wish you good night too.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Wonderful Workshop ~ January 2018

My goodness, a full class and a head full of ideas!   We started our day with a double whammy!  We used a stencil in two ways, one (very conventional) ink through the stencil.  Then, without cleaning the stencil, we spritz the ink surface and dropped our card down onto it and pull off a watercolour style print.  A further print could be pulled too!  This is what the team made..   Beautiful results!  We then moved onto something just a little different.  I was asked if we could have a go at Distress Crayons, so this project became a bot of a sampler... We blended, coloured on dry card, then wet card, painted with them, faux bleached through a stencil (cheers Maggs!) it was fun and very different!  Finally, with Oxides in hand we made a three layered card.  I love this look, and it seems the team did too!  It’s amazing how different they look using different colours!  Lots of fun! Friends Help in the Quest...

When you need to find fairies, what better way than getting your friends to help? So during my Lavinia Stamps Workshop last weekend we came prepared to seek out fairies!  Our quest too us to the edge of a beautiful spring-time  forest.   Full  of blossom   bright sunshine, and flowers , we walked straight in...  you know, fairies love friendship, songs, laughter and love... our party of intrepid explorers have all of this in abundance! We sang  sparkling  words of  Peace, Love and Prosperity , of  Dreams and Delights   and of course the  belief of Magic !    As we walked through this enchanted place we came across a beautiful lake, the  colour  of which we hadn't seen before.  The water was  crystal clear,  and right there we could see a beautiful mermaid, shimmering as the sun shone through the water.  The  weed  in the lake swayed slowly.  The  mermaid  t...
